Sales Transformation

Growth occurs where strategy meets an understanding of the market

Sales Transformation for International Manufacturing Companies

Sales is one of the most important drivers of sustainable growth. In international industrial companies in particular, this requires clear strategies, structured processes, and high-performing organizations. A successful sales transformation combines strategic clarity with consistent execution both in the market and internally.

My experience includes, among other things, the development of international market development and sales strategies (direct sales and channel):

Initial Situation: Revenue growth in a high-growth region with diverse markets across 20 countries and over 100 employees fell short of market expectations

Assignment: Transform the sales organization and focus resources on specific industries and target customers with the goal of achieving above-market growth.

Result: Development of a regional sales and market development strategy (by country), transformation to an industry-focused sales organization, and sustainable strengthening of the organization. Result: CAGR growth of +9% over 3 years.

Initial Situation: An overly large, heterogeneous distributor landscape in EMEA with limited strategic value and compliance risks.

Assignment: Strategic realignment of the channel model and transformation of the existing distribution network in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa to include fewer, but more motivated, capable, and compliant partners.

Result: Development of country-specific channel strategies. Reduction from 400 to 120 distributors within 4 years, accompanied by a 60% increase in distribution revenue.

Initial Situation: Sales team without leadership for two years, inefficient processes, declining order backlog, no active market development, and a demotivated team that had lost confidence.

Assignment: Build a high-performing sales team with clear roles, processes, and leadership structures, and strengthen market orientation. Turn the business around to achieve growth.

Result: New management rhythm, reorganization by market segments, modeling of sales processes, introduction of KPIs, dashboards, and incentives, and the hiring of 11 new employees. The decline in new orders was halted.
